Born in England in 1962, I spent most of my childhood immersed in books. At university I gained degrees in Philosophy and English Literature and taught English for ten years.

Feeling like a change of direction, I decided to explore my other childhood passion - drawing and making things. I studied Visual Arts at Tai Poutini and became a full-time printmaker in 1999.

I live and work in Cornwallis, a peninsula in the Waitakere ranges, which is in the West Auckland area. We are surrounded by bush and sea and just fifteen minutes drive from Titirangi.

Studio visits are welcome and appreciated. (Please phone ahead to avoid disappointment: (09 811-8684). Since we moved up to Auckland I have developed my oil painting skills and am also creating children’s picture books. A collaborative website with an artist friend will eventually be developed to share this new and exciting direction to my art journey.
